A walk and play in the woods, a perfect way to spend a morning. Festus, as usual, carried the largest trees he could find. I was considering getting a safe-stick for him, but they don't make them big enough for Festus.
Carrying huge branches up&down the hill is another favourite pass-times for Festus.
He had a few issues with his equilibrium on top of the tree. But it was funny he was trying and trying and trying... rottweiler style.
I'm not in the pictures as I had to dodge the branches/trees. I'm always the one that gets hurt during the play.

Fountains Abbey
We've been at Fountains Abbey with Festus. He played in the woods with his "dad" and then we took him for a walk to St Mary's Church. He decided it was better to walk with the stick.
Jumping on the tree was more difficult that he'd imagined in the beginning.

Brimham Rocks
Brimham Rocks are rock formations, balancing on top of each other. This was caused by the erosion from water and wind. At 8:15 in the morning, we were prepared to have some fun with Festus. As I had to be at the fair at 10, we couldn't stay too long.
Much to our surprise, we weren't the only ones there. A lady was walking her two dogs and young son, another lady was exercising her dog.
Cuddles... these are so frequent after he is tired and had a great time.

Holiday accommodation
Having Festus changed my life in so many ways. One of them is choosing the right location when we are going on holiday or with business for a few days.
This month we went to Birmingham for a trade show and we had to find a perfect place, where we can leave Festus alone for most of the day. After considering all the pros and cons of hotels, B&B's, even camping sites, we've decided to rent a self catering cottage.
It's the first time we've tried something like this and I didn't have high expectations. After arriving here I saw it was better than in the pictures. The owners were very helpful, they allowed us to exercise Festus in a enclosed field near us. The welcoming pack included a bottle of wine, milk for coffee, coffee, tea. The house looks great and it was perfect for us.
Some pictures with the house, an annex to the main house.
This is the view from the bedroom. Every morning I woke up to see horses on the field and Festus asleep near my side
We played in the field every day, it was lovely to have such a big space and safe, at the same time.
I took a picture of hubby and Festus from the landing upstairs.
Next time we'll be in Birmingham, we'll going to stay here, if it's available. I loved everything and this type of accommodation is perfect for Festus.

Bath
My boy, having his 1st bath in our new home, a few days ago. He was waiting for hubby with the hair dryer. Next time I'll take more pictures and maybe I'll even make a movie.
As you can see...taking a bath is so exhausting...

New collar
Today it arrived the new collar we ordered for Festus and now I can match his collar with my purple clothes. Yeeeee!!
Festus ignored the dog because he had his lovely toy. The dog wanted to meet him, but Festus just gave him a look and that was it.
Purple and purple...
Hubby and Festus were playing something similar to football, one of their favorite games.
